Okay so I've been on DeviantART for quite a while but I still have a pretty stupid question that I still don't know the answer to. And that question is this:

How do Commissions work?
Or more specifically, how does the Client get the artwork and how is the Artist paid for their art?

I know how it's done physically, in real life, one-on-one. But I'm still iffy on how it's done online in community websites such as DeviantART.

This year's E3 ended yesterday and since I'm a gamer/amateur game programmer who loves the industry I thought I'd post the news that got me excited:


Obviously, Project Natal was huge. If that really pans out, then we are seriously heading towards SkyNet territory.

The Star Wars: Old Republic trailer looked better than the movies.

Uncharted 2 and modern Warfare 2 are more games I can't wait to play.

I'd be more excited about The Last Guardian if i knew how the gameplay was gonna be like.

Assassin's Creed 2 I wasn't too excited about until I saw the gameplay. (Flight provided by Leonardo Da Vinci!)

The great number of different things you can do in Heavy Rain is very intriguing. So much replayability. (The game and the story can still continue even if all the main characters die. What!)

Two new Mario games. (Hoping for Zelda: Four Swords-like gameplay for Mario Wii)

Team Ninja teaming up with Nintendo for the next Metroid game.


Major bummer: No Beyond Good & Evil 2 news

I've been here 4 years and I have <40 deviantions in my gallery but almost 12,000 pageviews. It's not much, I know, and I feel I should have done something about it by now.
